Mild Steel and Ash
On a cloudy morning, the dew on the clovers glisten as the spider spins her web. Wrapping around stem and branch, spiders are the natural dividers of space. This room divider seeks to bring the world of the garden into the home to make humans feel a little bit smaller. The spiderweb screen is detachable from the hooks for easy disassembly and more decorative possibilities. Glass beads dangle from the shining web and soft ash wood anchors the stalks to the ground.

Mild Steel and ash
The design of this plant stand is inspired by the beautiful form of the common yarrow, Achillea millefolium. It has been used cross-culturally for medicinal and spiritual purposes from love spells to warding evil from one’s home. The pattern that creates the structure for this plant stand draws on repetition and symmetry to create a powerful spell of protection and healing. This plant stand will make a wonderful companion for anyone who enjoys bringing a bit more green into their home and looks for the magic in the mundane. A small steel caterpillar beckons to you, but if worms are not your style, there is a leafier version.

Maple, Stone buttons, & Milk Paint
A bent lamination that explores multiples, stone buttons & tension joinery. I just can’t help but make work about new growth when it comes time for the spring.

Beech and handknit bows
The first piece of furniture I designed and created using mainly hand tools. It is inspired by the lonely nature of abandoned medieval festivity tents. There is a warm but melancholy feeling that draws everyone near it in. Currently in the process of filet crocheting striped table runners for it.

Beech and Poplar
An entryway bench that is slowly being consumed by a friendly pink worm. He pops his head through the bench as you sit down to take off your shoes, is it to say hi or continue eating? Who knows? He offers you a place to store your most precious items, you cannot refuse.

Party CatSpring 2023
Birch plywood and milk paint
A very peculiar cat designed to be a children’s stool or table. His form and colors are inspired by vintage circuses and animal sprinkle cookies. A milk paint and wax finish leaves a soft surface for little hands. He loves to party! This was my first step into making flat-pack furniture using a CNC.
